Why is it 54.5% dark chocolate instead of 75% or higher? Isn’t darker healthier?
Not necessarily in TCM. While modern trends favor high bitterness, Traditional Chinese Medicine values balance over extremes. According to TCM classics, a mild sweet flavor directly enters the Spleen (which governs digestive and gut function). Instead of being purely indulgent, our 54.5% chocolate acts as a therapeutic vehicle: the light sweetness harmonizes the formula, allowing your gut to comfortably absorb and adapt to the 5,000mg of potent herbs inside. Ultra-dark chocolate (75%+) can be too bitter and restrictive on digestion. We chose 54.5% to ensure the medicine actually lands where it needs to.
Does it taste like mushrooms?
Not at all. You'll taste rich Belgian dark chocolate — smooth, indulgent, complete. The botanicals are present, not pronounced.
Will I feel jittery?
